The study

What are the study objectives and who can participate ?

The study aims to understand how PhD students in biomedical fields make decisions when facing a difficult situation during their research (e.g. conducting fieldwork or desk research, analysing data, writing a manuscript, and responding to peer reviewers)

If you are a PhD student working in the biomedicalfield, you may participate.

How can I help ?

You can help by completing the survey. You will read different stories about young researchers and help them to make a decision.

Why should I participate ?

PhD students often face difficulties in decision-making due to their lack of experience and dependence on relationships with other stakeholders. Your answers will help us develop resources to support PhD students.

What should I know before I participate ?

Your participation is voluntary, and you can withdraw at any time.

Your data is anonymous and confidential. As required by our European Union funder, we will share anonymous data with academic researchers, who must, in turn, submit a protocol and sign a data agreement with us.

Who funded this study ?

This study is a part of the MiRoR project (Methods in Research on Research) funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Sklodowska-Curie grant agreement No 676207.

How can I be informed about the results of the study ?

After data analysis is complete, a summary of the results will be available on the website.
