The study
1. What are the study objectives and who can participate?
This study aims to describe how diabetic patients perceive the use of digital tools to monitor their diabetes (e.g., smartphone applications, wearable trackers, continuous glucose sensors)
You can participate if you are 18 years old or older and you have diabetes type 1 or 2.
2. How do I participate?
By taking our online survey. In it you will read about the different ways in which digital monitoring could be used for your diabetes, and we will ask you about your preferences and perceptions. There are no right or wrong answers. We want to know what you think!
This should take 10-15 minutes. After that, your participation in the study is over.
This project has been approved by the review board of INSERM (IRB00003888) on January 15 2019.
3. Why should I participate?
Could we simplify at-home diabetes monitoring for patients using digital tools? Could digital tools become intrusive and disruptive in patients’ personal life?
The answers to these questions should come from the experts: Patients like you.
Diabetes management requires frequent at-home monitoring by the patient. Researchers and doctors are looking into ways in which digital tools could be used to simplify this monitoring.
By taking this survey you can help doctors and digital tool developers understand how you prefer to use these digital technologies, and to what extent you find them intrusive in your daily life.
